Ghana’s street art is varied and vibrant and is characterized by its rich colors and mixed media. Paintings are combined with textiles to make collages, which exhibit the importance of the handwoven kente cloth of the Akan and Ewe. Other arts include dance and music, plastic art, especially pottery and wood carving, and metal work using gold and silver.
